Thread: Egg cannot hatch... It's First Generation somehow?

Ah, it has happened again! I have been trying to nail down the source of this bug; eggs do seem to randomly be losing their parents and it is not clear what is causing it. I will check the logs when I am home later today and add the parents back.

@circlejourney this happened to me again with an egg that is about to hatch tomorrow (in 7 hours)

@Bamboli @venula Oops, apologies for the delay - I've added the parents back and sent Bam a small egg gift to make up for lost time from not being able to hatch it!

I seem to be noticing a pattern: the eggs that lose their parents share IDs with chickens that have been released I think I know what's going on.

OK, I think I've gotten to the bottom of this, and made a fix to prevent this from happening again (it works on local). I will keep this thread open just in case it didn't work somehow, but if all went well then there will be no more parentless eggs. Thanks for your patience and for reporting the bug!

Ohhhh, interesting... Can definitely see that being an issue! Thanks for the update, I was able to hatch the ugly child
