Report here or in a ticket?
I check tickets several times daily, and forum posts every other day. If a bug is exploitable for free item uses / infinite items etc, please report it in a ticket, because I will see it immediately + it won't broadcast the bug to everyone. Also report bugs that have private details (e.g. involve a specific trade) in a ticket. Threads are good for if you want to find out if others are experiencing the same issue as you, or to make others aware of it.
Before you post
- Check at least the first page of threads to see if your issue has already been reported, and reply there instead of making a new thread.
- Known issues page has a list of long-standing issues that I am aware of and have been working on; do not report if yours is on the list.
- I will clean up the forum periodically and lock resolved threads.
Bug report template
- Operating system and browser:
- Where it happened: A link to the thing that isn't working
- Steps to produce the error: What actions you performed and what went wrong. This will help me reproduce it, which is always step 1 of fixing it
- Other requests: (e.g. if you would like a refund on lost items or the effects of the action reverted)
