Should we have normal comments instead of emojis

I've been debating this with myself; I enjoy the emojis but they're kind of limiting in what you can communicate.

We could have it like normal English comments on user profiles, emoji comments on chickens (because you're communicating with the chicken...or something)

Another alternative is simply to add more emojis and take emote suggestions...thoughts?

Words are fine, you may need a word filter though

i feel like if youre allowed to communicate in the forums with words, it would make sense for comments to also allow regular words, yeah? just with a filter like piyo said

on that note, adding emotes to forums would be a good idea. also, could you imagine if the forums were also emote-only? like trying to communicate trade deals and compliments with chicken hieroglyphics?

LMAO that is such a funny mental image but yeah, I think moving is a good idea, thankfully I have coded a sanitiser service for a previous project so I'll just drop it in here. I will just migrate the existing comments into the word format and preserve the emotes.

@mada12 I just sat here for 5 minutes trying to decode that cry emoji "Hi you! Thinking 28 chicks can give you 50 eggs? Yes!"
