This sounds useful! My only request would be that it not be another link on the dashboard with an unclearable activity number (I don't mind the pullet and farmhouse numbers, but being unable to clear the chicken feed and wall of fame numbers as "read" drives me a little batty!).

Just an idea that came up when we were talking about adding the option not to bump a thread when replying (to avoid clogging the recent 8 posts on the homepage). This would be an extension of the front page's recent activity block, and would contain threads with new activity from the past 24 hours, all in one place, with pagination. Let me know what you think!

@Waltz Oh yes there would probably just be a link where the "Visit forums" link on the dashboard currently is!
Oh yeah, I have been thinking about those number badges myself and wondering if people actually like them. I could probably have them clear when you visit 
or a toggle to decide if they clear on visit, or show at all...something for me to think about after the more pressing suggestions.
Locking since this has been implemented!
