Now playing: Country Road by Yuji Nomi
🌲 "Protecting the wild, one trail at a time." 🐾
"Not all who wander are lost, but those who know the moss's direction are never truly gone."
They say a forest's memory is long. Mine is longer. I know the language of rustling leaves and cracking twigs, a dialect learned over countless seasons. My purpose isn't just to walk these paths, but to etch the story of each sunrise and every silent snowfall into the bark of the eldest trees. I am a part of this place, as much as any root or stone.
To find water, follow the finch. To know a storm, listen to the oaks. To understand a predator, study the tracks it tries to hide. The quietest truths are often found closest to the ground.
A beetle, iridescent and determined, scaled a fallen birch leaf as if it were a great mountain. The air is thick with the scent of damp soil and the promise of mushrooms after the last rain. It's in these small, tireless moments that the forest's grand design is revealed.
