He's since left his parents' care because he doesn't want to admit that he's become a color vampire himself, and he may graduate to a full vampire soon if he can't sate his cravings.

just so bowie doesnt forget zir train of thought, a few notes! 1. theres three vampire classes: color, blood, and soul. they each become more dangerous as they progress. 2. vampires who indulge too much or not enough can progress to the next level of vampirism without meaning to. a careful balance must be established 3. soul vampires who starve eventually become ghouls, and soul vampires who overindulge eventually become demons. 4. BEING A DEMON IS BAD. you do NOT want this! it's just as mindless and endlessley hungry as a ghoul, but is far harder to kill and there is no going back. 5. ghouls still have some hope if they're fed in increments and slowly nursed back to health, but it's rare. 6. vampirism is only transferred by color vampires, usually young ones who don't know what they're doing. other classes cannot sire more vampires in the traditional way, i.e. biting 7. color vampires are relati ely harmless other than needing to drain color from conscious beings with a soul; because of this, it's easy to overindulge and become blood vampires on accident.
