While your ship....continued to be wrongfully impounded, by people who weren't intimidated by a lousy piece of paper, your precious cargo depreciating in value, your customers writing angry letters, demanding their money back for non-delivery of goods. What was the point?

Hence, he set up his freelance privateering business. He knew his way around ships, ports, and the kind of chickens who worked in the industry. For half the fees lawyers would charge, he can get your ship back on track in a fraction of the time, no mountains of paperwork required.
