🔒 QoL suggestion: on-site internest communication

if you send and internest request to someone else and you don't meet the criteria (in the case of what happened to me this morning, my chicken hadn't been fed yet) you'll get a message saying that the request to internest can't be accepted and why. however, currently, there isn't a way to communicate to the other person on-site that you resolved the problem and to try again, leaving the other person to figure this out... eventually, unless you ping them offsite. while not feature-breaking by any means, it is a little inconvenient!

it could be a simple messaging system (buttons like the "reminder" button on trades, for example, maybe also one that says "ready") or there could be an open line of communication between nesters? (unless i missed something. this is possible. i do that a lot.)

Ooh, like a messaging system specific to each InterNest? Are there aspects of the pre-existing messaging system that don't currently work for a similar purpose? I hesitate to add new features whose function is already covered by existing site features, but perhaps sending a direct messages feels like too big of an interruption/commitment just to notify the recipient that the chicken is ready?

A "ready" button that's like a remind button that lets you attach an optional message to it could work, I'll think through the implementation.

@circlejourney IMO, yeah, direct messaging does feel like an interruption for what would be a simple message that someone may have to send several times over the course of their experience with chickenpet. i think of it akin to the "reminder" button on trades which serves a similar purpose to a theoretical "ready" button on internests!

like i said, though, this doesn't ruin the experience of internesting at all, it would just make it a little smoother think emoji i understand if you think DMs already serve this function fine enough and would rather avoid adding more stuff to an already complicated to program system

The Ready button makes sense to me! I can see a way of making it work that would be similar to the trades, yeah (maybe with a little message attached to the notification). I think that's the best of both worlds in terms of not being intrusive but not turning into a whole separate messaging system!

Locking because it has been implemented!
