Chicken Shuffle

What is Chicken Shuffle?

Chicken Shuffle is a trading game inspired by the Neopets trading game PAH! There are three parts to a Shuffle - listing, bidding, and accepting.

  • During the listing period, you can list pairs of chickens that you'd be interested in trading. Be careful which chickens you list, as you must trade at least one chicken from each pair once the game ends - unless, of course, neither chicken in a pair got any offers.
  • Once listing closes, then the fun part starts - bidding! During this phase, everyone can post offers for chickens they like in the form of other chickens, eggs, seeds, chickets, art, or even USD. You can use the same offer for multiple chickens if you want, but please specify how many times your offer can be accepted.
  • Finally, once the time runs out for bidding, the sellers can pick through the bids on each of their chickens and post which offers they're accepting in the thread! Be aware that the end of a Shuffle is a chaotic time, so while acceptances should be posted publicly, the specifics can be worked out in DMs to make things easier.

How do I list?

Listing pairs is simple - just embed the chickens you want to list with one pair per line. You can also list single chickens, but without a partner there will be no way to pass if you don't like the offers!

How do I offer?

To offer on chickens, you'll want to embed the chickens you're offering on in one line, then give your offer. You can split your offers into multiple posts if you want to offer different things for different chickens. (ie. If you want to offer art for two chickens, but only want to offer eggs for a third chicken.) Currency offers must be a minimum of 50egg emoji 500A green-grey seed to be considered forcing. Real-currency offers are always non-forcing, as many people cannot accept real currency.

Bidding on:

Offering:
200egg emoji, 1 colored sketch
(Only accepting one!)

Help! Two chickens accepted my offer!

Double-accepting is common in Shuffles, and when this happens, the offerer gets to decide which of the listed chickens they want to go through with the trade on. If your chicken doesn't get picked in a double acceptance, you must use a runner-up offer if there is one. If your runner-up also falls through, you may pass.

Help! Someone won't trade even though I had a valid bid/ghosted me after winning!

Unfortunately, this game runs on the honor system, so the most you can do is mention it to the host so they can be blacklisted from participating in future games. If you are ghosted by the winning bidder, you may pass.
