Lore that literally nobody ever asked for but that I feel the need to infodump about anyways because it's literally never listed anywhere, basicallly a perpetual wip and just gets updated whenever I feel like it
Base code is a heavily modified version of MisspelledFox's Pairings List Template and some of the styling/code was taken from Wildflower75's 'Guide to my Chickens' page with their blessing, so credits to of them for that!
Near the edge of Outer Vaill Forest, there is an abandoned house. Party balloons and confetti deck the walls of peeling paint covered up by a little bit of illusion magic, and inside its splintered doors there is a little chick, at the age of one, stuck repeating their first birthday until the end of time. On the outside, there is everyone who has to live with the guilt of it.
One Year Old, better known as Oyo, is a sweet and happy-go-lucky chicken who loves parties and celebrating. Little do they know they're stuck in a time loop for all eternity due to an accident that took place around their first birthday.
A calm and quiet demigod chicken, with an interest for the occult and a self-appointed guardian of Oyo. One of the two to blame for the accident that ended up in Oyo being stuck at one.
A trickster god who is the self-proclaimed archnemesis of Pandemonium. The other one to blame for the accident.
A deity of life and longevity with a soft spot for kids. Took pity on Oyo and decided to watch over them from afar, never truly being able to forgive Pan and Cal.
A child made by Matcha to serve as a companion for Oyo, a consistent attendee of their birthday party. Quiet and softspoken, and almost like a whisper in the wind than a real child, but Oyo appreciates them all the same.
A deity of fortune, health and children that is close friends and colleagues with Matcha. Often disguises themself as a magician to help children celebrate their birthdays, blessing them with gifts and fortune for their futures. Despite knowing Oyo's predicament, they do their job just as they would for any child.
Meet Fourteen: a shut-in with superintelligence, tech savvyness that earned him a spot with his idol Detective Gimon, a bit of a sassy mouth, and an obscured past involving avian experimentation, friends and family lost and found, and one still being searched for; the one case Fourteen can't seem to solve or let go of.
A young adult with superintelligence working from his shabby apartment as a e-investigator with his longtime idol Detective Gimon (and occasionally flying to New Yolk City to help with cases in-person too) under the '14th Street Society Detective Firm' (something he made up). Seldom goes outside due to a paranoia that stems from a past he never really talks about, one where he was previously known as Experiment 014.
Known to most as simply Experiment 009, Farewell is the one case in Fourteen's files left unsolved. They both went through the same hell, but Farewell disappeared without a trace before they could escape together. Fourteen has been looking for them ever since, not knowing if Farewell is still alive or not.
An emotional support plush of his idol Gimon that somehow gained a mind of its own. Acts like Fourteen's own rubber duck when he comes across problems he simply doesn't know how to solve.
Some sort of trickster deity of technology and knowledge, or a figment of Fourteen's imagination, he doesn't know. All Fourteen does know is that it can possess various forms of technology and only serves to get in his way and in his own head.
Known simply as Canta or, less preferably, Experiment 002, Fourteen and Canta consider each other to be somewhat siblings. Started a network of detectives and P.Is under a secret society known as 'The Orchard Association' on behalf of Fourteen and more or less acts as the Orchard's main point of contact for jobs.
Celestials, infernals, deities, demigods or other entities entirely that oversee all of Avivallus. Or just mess around and meddle in avian affairs; whichever serves their fancy. Some of them are malicious, others kind, but all a step above the avian rest.
A powerful mage infected with some sort of arcane curse (and in turn ascended to roughly demigod status), and the first recorded instance of a transformative magical sickness spreading throughout Avivallus, aptly named the Blight. Has been alive for so long with no indication as to why other than their curse.
A lesser deity of warmth and family, always looking to fit in somewhere and giving their blessings to outsiders in the hopes that they one day find home too.
A deity of scales and balancing them. Always ensuring there is equal push and pull, action and consequence. Shrouded in mystery and physical mist that lets you know of their presence.
A lesser trickster deity of ponderment and emotions, seeks to draw the worst out of people in order to get them to work on themselves a bit more.
A lesser deity of dreams and comfort, they are gentle and soft, seeking to help those who struggle to get to bed soundly and chase away nightmares.
Commonly known as Rize, they are a demon of love and destruction, wanting to fully understand how far the human condition goes when it comes to love. They tend to be sickly sweet then turn violent at the drop of a hat.
Trickster demon that everyone is about 90% sure isn't actually a deity of any kind. What are they the deity of? Blurple. They just want to paint the world blurple. Is there anything else that goes on in their mind? Probably not.
A celestial lake nymph that protects bodies of water from harm and pollution, especially those magically charged, able to draw and use each magical pool of water as needed. Matcha had originally enlisted their help with Oyo at first, but is now able to do what they need without Lilypad's aid.
The first of twin celestials representing opposites that cannot exist properly without each other. Question and answer, life and death, sun and moon.
The second of twin celestials representing opposites that cannot exist properly without each other. Question and answer, life and death, sun and moon.
One of, if not the first structure built in all of Avivallus. Though most only pass through for agriculture or a foster home, those who have decided to stay more permanently help out with the daily needs. What started out as a humble barn and ranch, has since expanded to include an orphanage, schoolhouse and greenhouse, all owned by kids adopted by the original owners of the farm, Bluford and Lavenderis, who have decided to stay and help the family business.
LAKEDEW FARM
The farm that started it all: Lakedew Farm. Named after Bluford and Lavenderis' first ever adopted child Honeydew, it has grown greatly from its humble roots, though it has never lost its homey charm.

MINTY FRESH ORPHANAGE
Shortly after opening the farm, they brought on a couple of hands (Minty and Fresh, whom they named the orphanage after) and opened a new branch: the Minty Fresh Orphanage. This new branch is under Bluford and their adopted child Picolino, who hopes to find a happy home free of abandonment for each and every child.

LITTLE FRITTER SCHOOLHOUSE AND DAYCARE
After the orphanage opened, Bluford and Lavenderis realized that they needed a place for the children to learn, and after much fundraising and help from their good friend Tartalet in the city, they managed to open the Little Fritter Schoolhouse and Daycare (named after their first attendee and Watermelon's adopted daughter Fritter) under the guidance of their adopted child Watermelon, who brought on her friend Vintage to join the faculty.

LARK N' HONEY GREENHOUSE AND FLORISTRY
Lastly, after moving back from the city, Honeydew brings the farm full circle and opens a greenhouse and florist shop on the ranch under the name Lark n' Honey Greenhouse and Floristry, completing Lakedew Farms.

The beachside of Avivallus, named after some folklore involving chickens with scales in place of feathers and fish-like tails in place of feet. The waters are almost...magically fit for waves and beach fun nearly every single day. Alongside the beach is a port, as well as a small port town that faces a large lake.

SEAFOAM COVE
Seafoam cove is seldom a place one goes, much less comes out alive. It's mostly left alone due to its infamous reputation, but occasionally passing by people have reported seeing a glimmer of something shining just under the shore's surface.

AQUITANE PORT
The port that serves as Avivallus' main place of exports and imports under the tenured eye of Captain Kanagawa, as well as a place for people to do recreational boating and sailing.

PONDSIDE PORT TOWN
Pondside is a mostly quiet town, slightly secluded from the rest of the beachside and facing a large lake, hence the name. Most of the people in the village are fishers and help export their wares to the rest of the world with the port, which serves to be one of the only points of contact with the town itself.

Founded by Cantaloupe on behalf of Fourteen, The Orchard Association was originally a very small online forum of local detectives and P.Is looking for jobs and solving mysteries together that quickly turned into a large web of underground worldwide investigators under a business cover known as New Morning Orchard (the name a nod to Fourteen through angel number meanings since he's the one who originally brought them all together). If you need something looked into, you talk to Cantaloupe with a price, and she'd get you connected to someone who can do the job.

The main office of a very successful fruit distribution company named Fruitsplash Imports helmed by a queer owner with staff that seem to be straight out of a cross between TV show 'The Office' and a K-Drama. Their workers are constantly stuck between the two pairs' shenanigans, unfortunately.

A small breakfast place named Dawn Roost Diner on the other side of the street from the bakery and café, with a front seat to all the drama. Gets along surprisingly well with their next door neighbours and have even helped each other boost their foot traffic. (Terrible twos, you could stand to take a page out of their books.)

A place for models, designers and party animals alike, the Nightcore Fashion Agency doubles as a bit of a club and venue for everything couture. They are situated by the diner but only operate at night so as to not disturb them, and both of them have even helped each other garner more customers as a result of the alliance.

Often coordinates with the new theatre in town to use their space as a venue for their Avivallus performance locations.

The newest addition of Avivallus, name: a hot and popular theatre for the arts and a venue for music performers of new and old. The owner Blue's introduction to Avivallus was sudden and mysterious, but he prefers to keep it that way, and the locals don't seem to mind.
